App Privacy Policy

At uComply, we are committed to keeping your personal information safe and being clear about how we collect your data, how we store it and what we do with it.

This privacy policy applies to uComply’s application uIDentify and what happens to the data you submit through uIDentify.

What information do we collect about you?

Information you give to us directly through the uIDentify App

We will collect and store the following information provided you accept our End User Licence agreement (EULA) which is the first option after you have successfully signed into the uIDentify App

  • your image (Face data)
  • your UK passport and or your Irish Passport / Identity card that you opt to submit which will also include the photo stored electronically in these documents on the RFID chip
  • Other documents that you opt to submit e.g Driving licence

Depending on what documents you submit we could collect and store the following types of personal information: full name, date of birth, gender, address.

How do we use your personal information?

We will use your personal information to do the following:

  • We take a scan of your face and perform a liveliness check to ensure that you are human
  • Compare the image captured of you against the photo on the RFID chip to prevent the risk of imposters
  • Provide your prospective employer, who initiated your invitation to use the uIDentify App, with your information captured once submitted in a report which will help to prove you are who you say you are i.e. a Digital ID.   • For analysis where we may use obfuscated % scoring results information to help us fine tune our matching models.

For how long will we keep your personal information?

At uComply, we are committed to retaining your personal information for no longer than necessary in relation to the purpose for which it was first collected. This is in line with guidance from the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Do you share my information with anyone else?

We will only use your personal information for the purposes for which it was obtained in the first place. Unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so, and subject to any third-party disclosures specifically set out in this policy, your Data will not be disclosed to third parties. We never sell your data to anyone. uComply Limited is committed to privacy for everyone who uses our solutions or services. The UK Data Protection Act 2018, and GDPR provides certain regulations and best practices which are designed to ensure that any data you provide to us with is processed with due care and attention.

Keeping your personal information safe

We have both digital and operational safeguards at uComply to ensure that personal information is kept secure and protected against unauthorised or unlawful processing, and against accidental loss, destruction or damage. Access to information is reviewed on a regular basis and limited to those people who actually need to access it and are assigned the permission to do so.

​The uIDentify App data that you submit is protected by secure encryption when it is sent to our cloud portal.

​Data is stored on uComply’s secure servers which are hosted and located in the UK.

There are, however, inherent risks to passing information over public networks and using a compromised device. uComply cannot be held accountable for the security of data handled in this way.

Your rights and managing your own data

You have the right to request access to the personal information that uComply stores and processes about you. You can ask for corrections to be made to the information we hold or for your personal information to be deleted. You can also ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information or to object to the processing of it altogether.

You may at any point delete your submitted records by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email providing your login credentials which will remove your data from the uIDentify service irrevocably. Should access be required again you will need to contact your prospective employer and ask them to resend your credentials to enable you to complete the process again.

​We will not charge you for either considering or complying with a request unless it is deemed to be excessive in nature. We will ask you for proof of identity and upon this being successfully verified, you are entitled to obtain the following information about your personal information:

  • The purposes of the collection, processing, use and storage of your personal data.
  • The source(s) of the personal information, if it was not obtained from you.
  • The categories of personal data stored about you.
  • The envisaged period of storage for your personal data or the rationale for determining the storage period.
  • The use of any automated decision-making and/or profiling

How to make a complaint

If you have any questions about this privacy policy or the way in which uComply handles your personal information, or if you wish to make a complaint, write to us and we will acknowledge the request within 5 working days and respond within 10 workings days of our response.

Changes to our privacy policy

uComply Limited reserves the right to change this privacy policy. Either as we deem necessary from time to time or as may be required by law.  Any policy changes, either due to business reasons or future changes in legislation will be posted on our website at www.ucomply.co.uk.
