uComply is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Friedman to its Board as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
Brian Friedman is an extremely well-known and highly respected human resources specialist and founder and CEO of The Forum for Expatriate Management, the world’s first organisation dedicated to furthering knowledge and strategy in the field of global mobility.
Previously the CEO of Ernst & Young’s and, prior to that, Arthur Andersen’s human capital practices, he also holds a master’s degree in economics from Cambridge University and is qualified in human resources, accounting and taxation. Brian brings uComply the benefit of more than 25 years in global mobility and expatriate management – an invaluable skill set as the company continues to develop its range of ground-breaking immigration and identity verification software.
Commenting on Brian’s appointment, Kim-Marie Freeston, founder of uComply, said: “Brian’s appointment strengthens our team considerably. With his formidable expertise and acumen within the global mobility arena he will bring a new dimension to our strategy and further enhance our profile in what has already been a successful year.”
Brian commented that “It is rare that I see something that is truly revolutionary in the global mobility field which can help HR professionals better manage both their domestic and immigration controlled staff. When I saw this product I knew that this is just what the market needs and wanted to get involved. I am looking forward to working with Kim-Marie and the Board to take this company to new heights.”
The appointment rounds off a period of substantial recognition for uComply, which was a finalist in three separate awards since August: the East of England Business Champions 2014 Small Business Awards, the EMEA Expatriate Management and Mobility Awards (EMMAs) for Most Innovative Use of Technology in Global Mobility and the Hertfordshire Business Awards in the innovation category.
